NICS aims to provide innovative primary care services. It is our goal that these services benefit both our patients, who will use them, and our practices, who provide them.
NICS provides several services that increase patient access to GP and other health care professional’s care. This includes weekday evening and Saturday morning GP appointments, extended access phlebotomy appointments, and video appointments for first contact physiotherapists.
NICS runs the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital. The Urgent Treatment Centre offers GP led treatment for minor injuries and illnesses that need to be treated immediately. Appointments booked through 111 or walk in appointments.
The FCP service offers registered patients across North West Surrey the opportunity to book an appointment with a specialist physiotherapist, before seeing a GP, on weekdays at a number of locations across North West Surrey.
NICS has been running the vaccination programme in north west Surrey since December 2020. During the main campaign we ran sites at Chertsey, Staines, Walton and Woking, together with reaching out to care homes and the housebound and running pop-up clinics where appropriate.
We have delivered 700,000 vaccinations during this time
– Adults who are 75 years and older
– Residents in a care home for older adults
– Immunosuppressed over the age of 6 months
The National Booking System will be available from 15th April. Appointments will start from 22nd April and will be held at The Hythe Centre, Staines.
