Supporting General Practice

Supporting service changes through collaboration between groups of Practices or the transfer of work from hospitals into the community.
In particular GP recruitment and retention, support for salaried and locum GPs, practice managers, nurses, administration staff and other healthcare professionals
Delivering general practice services where it is appropriate for one organisation to take a lead.

NICs promotes the interests of General Practice be it with CCG (North West Surrey CCG), ASPH hospital or broader NHS.
NICs provides education events and its scale enables membership benefits for certain products.

Nics GP Federation manages a portfolio of services including:

General Practice – extra primary care appointments in the evening, at weekends and over traditional holiday periods.
Working with Community Health Care providers and the broader Surrey Heartlands Provider Alliance to promote General Practice and patient interests.
Influencing and providing input into the service design of CCG funded three locality Hubs located within Woking, Thames and Staines/Ashford.
The Federation works closely with North West Surrey Commission Group and the broader Surrey Heartlands STP particularly concerning service re-design and health care provision for areas like care homes, home visits and extend hours.
